This site is run by Island Alchemists, a small fermentation lab on Gozo, Malta. If you have any question about your information, email hello (at) islandalchemists (dot) com.

What I collect, and why

• Sign-up form. Your email address and which lists you chose (lab notes newsletter, sampler waitlist). I use it only to send you what you signed up for. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box.
• Suggestion form. Your suggestion, plus your name and email if you choose to add them. I use these to read your idea and, if you left an email, to reply.

I don't sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.

Who else handles it

• Hosting: the site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
• Forms: form submissions are delivered by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, which passes them to my inbox.
• Email: messages are received in a Google Gmail inbox.

The site uses no tracking cookies, no advertising and no analytics. Fonts are hosted on this site, not loaded from Google.

How long I keep it

• Newsletter and waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
• Suggestions: up to two years, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing hello (at) islandalchemists (dot) com. Every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link.

If you're unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC).
